Bovec is situated in the North-Eastern part of Slovenia, next to the Italian border. The main place, that attracts tourists from the different contries, is the mountain Kanin with good down-hill slopes and ski-tracks. This mountain ridge that separates Italy from Slovenia is covered with snow all the season long from September till May, the Adriatic climate and the height of the location provides the high percentage of precipitation.
Bovec is an old town with places of interest that are worth seeing, mainly represented by monuments and ancient buildings. The neighbourhood of Bovec has a really wild and fairy-tale nature. We advise you to visit the National Park Triglav. Here you will find the picturesque lakes, high waterfall Boka, cave Kaninski Podi (1000 m deep). Not far away from Bovec you can find a small town, Kabarid with its museum of the First World War.
