Climate of the republic is moderate continental, different in the mountains of the Eastern part of Slovenia from the climate on the seacoast.
The North-western mountainous area has temperatures of +22 during the day and +8 during the night. Winter is quite cold in this region. The day temperature is rarely above +3 C. The major of precipitation is in autumn, in October (about 250 mm), all in all about 3000 mm per year. In the mountains 1500 above the sea level, where the most winter resorts are, while the season (December - April) the day temperature is 0, the night can drop down to -9 C.
The central and eastern plain areas have pretty high day temperature in simmer - +25C and +15 during the night. In winter the temperature is about 0C. The rainy season is mainly in the beginning of summer and in the end of autumn. There are about 700 mm precipitation in this region.
The Adriatic climate is mild, as well as the Mediterranean climate in general. The average temperature in summer is +24C, temperature of water is +23C. The precipitation is 200 mm per month.
