Adria Airways airlines have regular daily flights from Moscow to Ljubljana that last for 2.5 hours. Some airlines offer connecting flights with change of plane in different European cities.
One can also fly from international airports located in the big cities of the neighboring countries such as Vienna, Budapest, Zagreb and Venice but one will have to get a special transit visa then. All the above said airports are located only a few hours away by train from Ljubljana.
Aeroflot airlines also serve flights from Moscow to Ljubljana from Sheremetyevo-2 airport. They fly from one to three times a week (depending on the season). The flight time is 3.5 hours.
